Second Sandbar Saturday
For my final day with Jaime in Hawaii in July, my bestie and I went out for our second sandbar Saturday experience in Kāne‘ohe Bay. We snapped a few pictures of the crystal clear waters while wearing my graduation cap for the last time until I officially walk the stage for my doctoral graduation in Atlanta on September 25th this year. The weather was much more cooperative this week with all sunshine and no rain. Although, it was pretty windy making the water really choppy getting out there and back on the motorized raft. However, it was perfect weather for the kite surfers who were whirling around our ocean vessel curious about it’s functionality.
Two Caribbean Parties
Once we made our way back to shore, I was invited by some new island friends to attend two Caribbean parties. The first party was at the roof pool at the ‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach. There were several DJ’s jammin’ Caribbean island music while people were wading in the pool, booty shakin’ on the dance floor, and dancing in a long conga line. The music and views were spectacular. The final stop on my tour of Jaime in Hawaii in July was my third visit to the Beach House at Aloha Tower, where we were to celebrate an island friends’ birthday party. The gentlemen were dressed up in dapper black suits while the ladies were all dolled up in dazzling silver dresses. The birthday guy wore a crown and had received several interesting leis as gifts (not made with flowers, but with money, sex accessories, candy, and other fun celebratory items). We had some good dinner and danced the night away. Such an amazing way for Jaime in Hawaii in July month-long graduation celebration to come to a sweet ending. Aloha!
