Welcome to my Health Saturday’s B.R.E.A.T.H.S. blog post. This space I have open to discuss my lifelong battle with the genetic connective tissue disorder, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), type-3: hypermobility (HEDS). I started this health blog in May 2021, and described my lifelong difficulties with falling, breaking bones, bruising easily, temperature control issues, subluxing/dislocating, and mental health issues associated with HEDS. There is no known cure for EDS, only ways to manage it, and depending on the type you have, it is most likely not going to be life-threatening.
Managing My Disability
Throughout the years, I have managed my HEDS with diet and exercise as I mentioned in last month’s blog. I also manage my mental health through strategies that I post on my Self-care Sunday’s B.R.E.A.T.H.S. blog posts. With the help of a combination of specialists such as my doctors, author’s self help books (I review on my Reading Tuesday’s B.R.E.A.T.H.S. blog posts), and energy healers/lightworkers (booking special guest practitioners to interview here), I am going to explore with you several tips on how to heal your own body on my Health Saturday’s B.R.E.A.T.H.S. blog posts.
Who Can Help You Heal Your Body?
We all know that our medical doctors can help us maintain proper health, but the real healing of our pains and diseases comes within. YOU are a source of energy that has the power to heal yourself and others. Start with healing your body by targeting the metaphysical reasons you have dis-eases as discussed in Louise Hay’s book, “Heal Your Body.”(see above) Next, seek out different types of healers who help people heal from the inside out using natural remedies. For the next several weeks, I will dive into each of these nontraditional health practices where I interview special guest practitioners to discuss their art of healing using naturopathy, manual therapy, energy healing, and alternative medicines. Below is a list of 20 naturopathic healing resources you can explore and if you would like to add more, please leave a note in the comments.

Forgiveness is Key
What I have found in my healing journey is that most of my pains and diseases were caused from past traumas, and I needed to forgive and let go in order to heal the physical, mental, and emotional wounds. I took a deep dive into forgiving by writing down a list of everyone who hurt me and who I hurt, pictured that person in front of me, and repeated the following “Ho’oponopono” phrases for forgiving oneself and others:
“Ho’oponopono” (correction) is a Hawaiian prayer practice of forgiveness and reconciliation. Ho’o (to make) and pono (right), and when a word is repeated it doubles the meaning, so it would translate “to make doubly right.” The order the phrases are spoken does not matter.
I found it difficult to forgive some people, so I had to do this a couple times to really make it work (took time for certain pains/diseases to go away). After I was done with this practice, I visualized the person in the palm of my hand and took 11 deep breaths, and on the last breath, I would blow really hard as if making the person fly away. After many months of repeating ho’oponopono, my heart, mind, and body were healed.
This Hawaiian prayer practice came to me from several teachers within the last year, so I made sure to learn it and pass on the knowledge. My heart is lighter and freer to love everything more wholly. My body is no longer inflicted with diseases or pains. I am still managing living with my genetic disability, but I realize that is all part of my purpose, to learn to help others better manage their pains, disorders, and diseases in order to live more fulfilling, loving lives.

Thank you for the list of resources. Also, thank you for the guide on forgiveness.
Hi Jeri, much gratitude for reading and commenting! You are very welcome for the list and forgiveness prayer. Sending lots of love and peace your way!

Jamie, thank you so much for sharing your journey with us all. Even without a disability, this has been a rough year for everyone. Glad you are learning ways to heal from within. I will have to try this sometime. I just wish it could work on my biggest issue, XI and the corrupted Chinese government 🙁 Anyway, I found the Crystal gemstone healing thought interesting and will have to look into it. Thanks for the great list.
Hi Samantha, thank you for reading and commenting! I am happy something on the list sparked interest in you! I will be bringing some crystal specialists to talk about their resources. I am not sure if they will work on your biggest issue, but I will definitely be praying and sending lots of love and positive energy your way! I do believe love is what will help conquer all, love is the answer to everything! Much gratitude and looking forward to reconnecting with you on your healing journey! Jaime
How interesting! So after you say the prayer, when you blew the person away, does that mean you forgive them but still want them out of your life? I had never been able to forgive my granddaughter’s father for all the mental and physical abuse he put her through. He is totally out of all of our lives now but by forgiving him would that make it easier to move on but still not bring him back to the family. Thank you so much for your posts that make me work on forgiveness.
Hello Martha, I sincerely appreciate you reading, commenting, and questioning my posts. Yes, blowing them away means that you forgive them, you have cut emotional ties with them, and created a energy barrier for yourself and them to heal. I now see those people as great teachers that I no longer work with, for they all have taught me the most strength and resilience, and for that I am forever grateful to them.
My mother asked me how I know this worked and I replied, “if I ever do see them again, I will only feel love for them.” Wouldn’t you know it, I was tested just a few minutes later. Someone from my past whom I had lots of hate and fear crossed my path once again for only a moment. Our eyes locked, our masks covering our faces, but we still recognized one another. My first reaction was surprise! Did I really see THOSE eyes that have haunted me for years…my second reaction was pure love! I hope this sheds a light on your healing journey and work on forgiveness.
Sending loads of love and peace your way!
Jaime
I like this forgiveness meditation. It is said that when you forgive, you get your power back from the person who hurt you. Blessings!
Hi Angie, You are correct on your insight about forgiveness of others who have hurt us. This prayer/meditation also works on forgiving oneself. Often times we are the hardest on ourselves with years of programmed negative self talk, negative emotions about our lives, we have a lot of compounding issues, and lack of forging oneself. Try saying these phrases to yourself one at a time and feel your reaction. Repeat when necessary. Your love will change not only for yourself but forgiveness will be easier to do with others. Thank you for reading and commenting.
Sending lots of love and gratitude,
Jaime
Very interesting article. Much love and light to you
